ALDI Suppliers
The first Australian ALDI store opened its doors in January 2001, now with over 200 stores successfully operating across New South Wales, ACT, ALDI has quickly became a major player in the provision of quality food products. In order to grow their Australian business, ALDI is interested in more Australian based suppliers for their supermarkets.
In a recent adaptation to the ALDI Corporate Global Supplier Policy all suppliers are now required to have compliance to a Global Food Standard Initiative (GFSI). NCS International has the capability to audit your organisation to the ALDI addendum at your next scheduled SQF or BRC audit. This change will remove the need for a separate ALDI audit and possibly reduce your amount of annual audit visits.

Background on the changes to the ALDI Supplier Audits
From early 2010 all current ALDI suppliers who are certified to an accepted GFSI standard, such as SQF2000 Level 3 or BRC Global Food Standard version 5, will be able to submit their reports to ALDI for review.
This review may remove the need for a full ALDI audit. However, Suppliers that have either SQF2000 or BRC in place will be required to have a shortened audit for the specific ALDI Supplier requirements using an ALDI addendum. The need to conduct the ALDI addendum audit will be based on the product/s supplied to ALDI and the product/s risk assessment.
