NCSI Sponsors V8 Supercar in first race at Sydney Olympic Park

As the curtain closes on yet another season of the V8 Supercars, NCS International shares its debut in the racing arena with both a new circuit and a new driver.

Whilst many people may think auditing is a conservative profession based on certainty and limited risk, NCSI stepped out of the box last weekend offering our clients a ride on the wild side, supporting our V8 Supercar in the 2009 Fujitsu Series.

The event was the first to be held at the new Sydney Olympic Park circuit in conjunction with the Sydney 2009 Telstra 500 Grand Finale.

NCSI supported newcomer Ryan Hansford in his first professional V8 Supercars race driving a Rod Dawson Ford Falcon BA. Whilst Hansford has had experience in racing in both the Gemini Series and the MINI Challenge at the SuperGP in October, it was the first time which Ryan would be driving in such a high profile event. Ryan, whose last name is synonymous with racing due to his father, Gregg Hansford’s legacy, ended tenth over all for the whole weekend despite having some technical issues.

From all of the staff who attended over the weekend, we would like to extend our thanks to all clients who joined us in the ‘pit lane’ experience and we hope we haven’t encouraged any excessive speeding!

Check out our photo album below of the Friday session:

NCSI supports sustainability. All V8’s in the event on the weekend used the new CSR E85 Ethanol Fuel. The CSR Ethanol blend is made from molasses (a sugar by-product); and by making the switch, the V8 Supercars and the Fujitsu series have been able to reduce their CO2 emissions by 50%* compared to using normal petrol.
