Why Choose NCS International?

NCS International is one of Australia's largest and most experienced third-party certification bodies, having certified over four thousand individual sites since 1991. We have a reputation for providing friendly, customer-focussed service using qualified, experienced staff and specialists.

NCS International is able to service a very broad range of industries, and many of our clients come to use our services based on the referrals from satisfied customers. NCS International has offices in all state capitals, so our services and support are readily accessible.

NCS International is itself audited and accredited by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) for its ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS/NZS 4801, and Disability programs, giving you confidence in the high quality and value of our certification services and staff.

All certification programs offered by NCS International are designed to be compatible with each other and with your existing management systems. So if, for example, your company already has ISO 9000 certification, and is seeking certification for HACCP, NCS International can ensure that assessments blend seamlessly, refelcting your system integration. You can also seek certification for more than one program or standard at the same time, minimising costs by avoiding duplication during audits.

Our Client Care Charter sets out our and your obligations.

How Does my Company Gain Certification?
NCS International offers certification to organisations through a series of clearly defined stages, enabling progress to be made in accordance with the company's wishes and resources. The process comprises of:-

  • Introductory Visit: Enables your business and your certification requirements to be fully understood by our Client Manager. A plan for your certification is then developed based on your needs.
  • Pre-assessment Visit: Prepares your management and staff for the initial assessment, and gives your organisation a clear picture of how close it is to meeting the requirements of the standard. This step is optional in most programs (except ISO 14001 certification), but recommended.
  • Document Review: Allows our Client Manager to properly prepare for your assessment by studying your procedure manuals and creating checklists tailored to your business. You then receive a detailed report to enable you to rectify any problems prior to the assessment.
  • On-site Assessment: Our qualified auditors will evaluate your company's compliance with the relevant management standard or code. This usually involves two auditors (and possibly a technical specialist) and may last one to several days depending on the size of your organisation.
  • System Maintenance: Following your certification, we will provide surveillance audits every six months to ensure your management system continues to meet your expectations and the requirements of the relevant standard or code, and to help it develop as your company's needs change. Every three years, a full reassessment of the system is provided.

Other Services
NCS International supports its certification programs with a range of other services including second party audits and business reviews, internal audits and coaching, and assistance with marketing your certification.
