- Introduction – science & economics
- Legislation, standards and protocols
- Identification of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
- Measuring emissions and using calculation tools
- Carbon reduction targets and plans
- Options for reducing emissions
- Carbon offsets – types and risks
- Accounting for GHG reductions
- Reporting emissions – internally & externally
- Verification of GHG emissions and reductions
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the participants should be able to:
- Design a GHG Inventory
- Collect reliable and accurate data
- Calculate direct and some indirect emissions
- Set reduction targets and develop a carbon reduction program
- Determine cost effective options for reducing and offsetting emission
- Write an effective report for external stakeholders
- Arrange for independent verification of GHG assertions
Cost: $1500 per person plus GST, includes lunch, morning /afternoon tea on both days and course material. Course hours are from 8:30am to 5:00pm, over 2 days.
