Environmental Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor Course

Introduction and who should attend

This intensive five day training course is based on the guidelines of ISO 19011:2002 and is designed for:

• auditors and lead auditors who are required to conduct assessments and audits of environmental management systems based on AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004;
• people who are responsible for developing and implementing environmental management systems based on AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.

Course certification

NCSI Pty Limited is certified under the RABQSA International Training Provider Examination Certification Scheme (TPECS) to provide training and examination of competency for environmental management system auditors.

Course outcomes

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attainment covering the following competencies under the RABQSA International TPECS:

RABQSA – EM Environmental Management Systems
RABQSA – AU Management Systems Auditing
RABQSA – TL Leading Management Systems Audit Teams

This certificate enables successful candidates to apply to RABQSA International for certification as a provisional auditor.

Course outline

The EMS auditor / lead auditor course covers:

• the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 19011:2002;
• application of environmental legislation;
• identifying and evaluating the significance of environmental aspects;
• documentation and record requirements;
• planning, organising and conducting assessments and audits, including preparation of checklists, designing audit programs
• and writing effective audit reports;
• human aspects of assessments and audits including effective information gathering techniques;
• qualifications and characteristics of effective auditors.

The course includes a number of activities that are used to assess the competence of participants against the RABQSA International competency requirements.

Fees: $2100 (GST exempt).
Includes comprehensive course notes, lunch & refreshments and issue of certificates.
