GlobalGAP
GLOBALGap (previously EUREPGAP) is the European Retailers standard for Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), which encourages the adoption of commercially viable farm assurance schemes that promote sustainable agriculture and the minimisation of agrochemical inputs.
The European Retailers Group has created and implemented a series of sector specific farm certification standards in response to the demands of consumers, retailers and their global suppliers.
The aim is to ensure integrity, transparency and harmonisation of global agricultural standards. This includes the requirements for safe food that is produced respecting:
- workers health;
- safety and welfare;
- environmental; and
- sustainable land use.
NCS International is certified to audit the GLOBALGap Fruit and Vegetable Protocol.
Typically, GLOBALGap audits require two days to complete. NCS International have GLOBALGap approved auditors available to conduct assessments. NCS International is accredited by [ ] to issue GLOBALGap certification and these audits can be combined with other standards if required.
