Introduction and who should attend

This course provides participants with the knowledge of HACCP principles and how to implement them into a business through the development of a HACCP plan.

This two day course is presented in plain English and is designed for:

  •  people developing a HACCP based food safety management system; and
  •  people looking to improve their current HACCP based food safety management system.

Course outline

The Understanding and Developing Food Safety HACCP Plans course includes:

  •  the principles of HACCP;
  •  Application of HACCP principles;
  •  Codex general principles of food hygiene;
  •  Hazard identification;
  •  Application of FSANZ Food Safety Standards;
  •  Development of the HACCP Plan;
  •  Assessment tasks.

Course objectives

On completion of the course participants will have an understanding of:

  • the requirements of HACCP Codex Alimentarius;
  • how to develop a HACCP plan for their organisation;
  • how to modify an existing HACCP plan to improve its effectiveness.

Previous Knowledge

A sound understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety support/prerequisite programs is essential for this course.

Course outcomes

On completion of the course participants will be issued with either a:

  • Certificate of Attainment for Developing HACCP Plans - RABQSA-HP - for those who attend and successfully complete the assessment tasks during the course; or a
  • Certificate of Completion for Developing HACCP Plans - for those who attend but do not successfully complete the assessment tasks during the course. 

Fees: $990 (GST included), Includes comprehensive course notes, lunch & refreshments and issue of certificates.
