Introduction and who should attend
This course provides participants with an understanding of environmental management systems (EMS) based on AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, including the relationship between the EMS and environmental legislation.

Course objectives
On completion of the course participants will have an understanding of:
- the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 – what they are and what they mean;
- documentation requirements of ISO 14001:2004;
- how an environmental management system supports compliance with environmental legislation and reduces exposure to prosecution;
- the benefits of an effective EMS.
Course outline
This course covers:
- the benefits of ISO 14001:2004 environmental management systems;
- the requirements of ISO 14001:2004;
- environmental management principles;
- documentation requirements of ISO 14001:2004;
- environmental aspects and impacts;
- the relationship between the EMS and environmental legislation.
Fees: $495 (Including GST) Includes comprehensive course notes, lunch & refreshments and issue of certificate of attendance.
