Introduction and who should attend
 
This course provides participants with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the SQF Codes.
 
This two day program is designed for:

  • Certification body and internal auditors intending to conduct SQF system audits;
  • Quality / food safety managers or personnel responsible for developing and implementing SQF systems;
  • Consultants responsible for developing and implementing SQF systems;
  • Organisations with and existing SQF system that are looking to improve and add value to their system.

     

 

   

Course outline
 
The Implementing SQF Systems course includes:

  • the SQF program and its managment;
  • Quality, customers and the cost of quality;
  • SQF Program vocabulary;
  • SQF Program food sector categories;
  • the SQF Codes;
  • Food safety and food quality plans;
  • the requirements of SQF practitioners and consultants;
  • Implementing and maintaining SQF systems;
  • using the SQF logo;
  • Auditing SQF systems - an overview.

Course objectives
 
On completion of the course participants will have an understanding of:

  • the need to improve food safety and quality;
  • the application of the requirements described in the SQF Codes;
  • how to effectively implement quality management systems to meet the SQF Code requirements.

Prerequisite Course
 
Course participants must have completed a "Recognised HACCP Training" course prior to undertaking the Implementing SQF Systems course.

Course outcomes
 
On completion of the course participants will be issued with either a:
 
Certificate of Attainment for Implementing SQF Systems - for those who attend and successfully complete the assessment tasks during the course; or a
 
Certificate of Attendance for Implementing SQF Systems - for those who attend but do not achieve the pass mark for the assessment tasks but achieve more than 50% during the course.
 
Fees: $957 (GST included).  Includes course notes, lunch & refreshments and issue of certificates.
