Turkey has become NCSI's seventh international partner.
NCSI has announced that a Turkish organisation has become its seventh international partner, and the first on the European continent. The organisation is Bosphorus Certification Services (BCS) based in Istanbul, Turkey.

BCS is now offering fully JAS-ANZ accredited NCSI certifications for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 throughout Turkey, and is already exploring markets in neighbouring countries. Owned and managed by Sibel Bayrak and Can Alatas, and ably supported by local quality expert Osman Duman, the company has already established a competent team of auditors and supporting staff in their city office.

Turkey is preparing for its inclusion in the European Common Market, and this has led to a boom in the manufacturing economy, together with a growing need for internationally recognised standards. Among BCS’s first clients are Goren Otomotiv, a large Peugeot vehicle dealership, and Ekoldus, a manufacturer of bathroom furniture that has now achieved both QMS and EMS certification with NCSI.

“The expansion of our services to the expanding Turkish market was inevitable,” said NCSI’s Business Manager Phil Crosby. “However we wanted to be certain that we had found the right partner to work with, and Austrade’s Istanbul office was invaluable in helping us complete our due diligence”.
