Phil Crosby departs NCS International
Phil Crosby departs NCS International On Friday 16 February, NCSI announced the departure of long standing senior manager, Phil Crosby. Phil joined NATA Quality Systems in 1994 and progressed through the company, jointly managing the separation into NCSI in 1997 and leading the business development & marketing function since. During this time he has also been a senior asessor for Quality/Environment/Forestry, and Investors in People programs, and served on many committees including Standards Development teams and NCSI's Strategic Planning Group. Phil also pioneered NCSI's Investors in People and Forestry programs, assisted with auditor training, and developed international business partners in Korea, India, Chile, Turkey. A characteristic of Phil's work was 'his hands' on approach to management systems leading to fieldwork in many remote areas of the globe, including Antarctica, where he undertook the world's first ISO 14001 audit in late 2004. During 2005, he took a sabbatical with Boeing Aerospace in Brisbane to study Business Strategy & Leadership. At a special function marking Phil's departure after 14 years service with NATA/NCSI, Managing Director Sue Chapman remarked that "Phil will leave a very big hole in NCSI, and will be sorely missed by his many friends and colleagues". Phil Crosby will shortly take up a new position as Business Strategist with the CSIRO.
