The products covered by Plantation Timber Certification are as follows:

    • Machine graded structural product to AS/NZS 1748
    • Visually graded structural product to AS 2858
    • Finger jointed structural product to AS 5068, and the relevant standard for the
      grade (ie AS/NZS 1748 or AS 2858)
    • Treated structural product to AS 1604.1
    • Appearance graded product to AS 4785.1 and AS 4785.2

The majority of large softwood sawmill producers, across Australia, are certified to this standard which demonstrates their commitment to the maintenance of quality systems within their production processes.

All these producers are certified although this is a voluntary certification program, designed to meet the expectations of timber merchants, truss and frame fabricators, designers and specifiers.
