Introduction and who should attend

This three day training course is based on the guidelines of ISO 19011:2002 and is designed for:

• people responsible for planning and implementing audit programs covering internal audits of complex organisations, supplier audits, regulatory audits or independent third party audits;
• auditors and lead auditors who are required to conduct assessments and audits of management systems.

Course certification

NCSI Pty Limited is certified under the RABQSA International Training Provider Examination Certification Scheme (TPECS) to provide training and examination of competency for environmental management system auditors.

Course outcomes

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attainment covering the following competencies under the RABQSA International TPECS:

RABQSA – AU Management Systems Auditing
RABQSA – TL Leading Management Systems Audit Teams

This certificate enables successful candidates to apply to RABQSA International for certification as a provisional auditor when combined with competencies RABQSA-QM, RABQSA-EM, RABQSA-OH or RABQSA-FS.

Course outline

The auditor / lead auditor course covers:

• the requirements of ISO 19011:2002;
• planning and implementing audit programs;
• planning, organising and conducting assessments and audits, including preparation of checklists, designing audit plans and writing effective audit reports; 
• human aspects of assessments and audits including effective information gathering techniques;
• qualifications and characteristics of effective auditors.

The course includes a number of activities that are used to assess the competence of participants against the RABQSA International competency requirements.

Prerequisites

It is strongly recommended that participants complete a two day course on either quality, environmental, OH&S or food safety management systems prior to undertaking this course.

Includes comprehensive course notes, lunch & refreshments and issue of certificates.
