Introduction and who should attend
This one day course provides participants with a practical understanding of the Bus Operator Accreditation System requirements necessary to provide safe, reliable and efficient passenger services for the travelling public of NSW.
- persons who wish to conduct accreditation assessments of bus operators based on Passenger Transport (Bus Services) Regulation 2000 and have successfully completed RABQSA certified training in management system auditing plus either quality, safety or environmental management;
- people responsible for developing and implementing the Bus Operator Accreditation System;
- organisations with existing BOAS programs that are looking to improve and add value to their system.
Course outline
The Bus Operator Accreditation System Auditor course covers:
- the requirements of the Bus Operator Accreditation System (BOAS);
- identification and risk assessment of safety hazards;
- documentation and record keeping requirements;
- management responsibility, authority and communication;
- resource management;
- validation, verification and improvement of the BOAS;
Course objectives
On completion of the course participants will have an understanding of and be able to:
- explain the fundamental requirements of the BOAS;
- undertake performance improvement of the BOAS;
- develop or build on an existing BOAS;
Course outcomes
The course includes a number of activities that are used to assess the competence of participants against the RABQSA International TPECS requirements. On successful completion, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attainment in:
