SEALS Receive NCSI's Highest Accolade
The Chairman’s Award is the formal acknowledgement of performance excellence over the past year and the highest accolade a client can achieve within their time in business with NCS International. Selected from over three thousand clients accross the globe the client must exhibit an elevated understanding of business management systems. This quarter we would like to recognise South Eastern Area Laboratory Services (SEALS) for the successful maintenance of their current management systems and award them with the prestigious Chairman’s Award.
In order to receive this award a client undergoes a lengthy selection process and is required to satisfy a number of specific performance criteria. The client must also demonstrate a proactive approach to their management system.
On notification of this award Dr Roger Wilson, Executive Medical Director at SEALS, said,
“This Award is a tremendous acknowledgement of the commitment by all of SEALS staff to quality management and quality improvement over several years, led in particular by SEALS Quality Manager Ms Ivy Fong.”
Since being certified to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems with NCS International in 1996, SEALS has had to contend with a number of changes in its industry field. With the assistance of ISO 9001 and regular audits, SEALS has had the systems in place to successfully deal with any challenges that have occurred over the past decade.
Dr Roger Wilson said,
“We have seen our organisation become progressively stronger and more effective over the time we have been working with NCSI and ISO 9001. The management systems we have built and particularly the evolution of a strong quality focused culture amongst our staff has already helped us deal with many industry challenges for example the extensive restructure of publicly owned pathology services in NSW.”
He went on to state,
“We know there will be many more challenges ahead and we are very pleased to have this foundation to support us going forward. The program helps us set our directions and manage our operations more effectively, which translates into greater reliability safety and cost effectiveness for the NSW community.”
The Chairman’s Award will be presented to a representative from SEALS in an upcoming ceremony. All staff at NCS International would like to offer their congratulations to the team at SEALS for this achievement.
